What You Will Do

As an Application Engineer, you’ll play a key role in enabling and supporting the core features of our smart building platform, KODE OS. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to make sure applications are deployed according to standards, aligned with client needs, and consistently deliver value.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee and enable core applications, and future KODE OS features.

  • Identify and resolve any gaps or blockers in deployment, designing custom solutions (workflows, routines, adapters) when needed. 

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Client Success teams to ensure applications work seamlessly and meet client-specific use cases.

  • Interpret and review technical documentation (such as mechanical drawings and sequences of operations) to plan and execute application enablement.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring applications deliver meaningful results and insights for clients.

  • Provide ongoing feedback to improve processes, deployment standards, and product capabilities.

  • Support clients and partners by ensuring applications are optimized, documented, and aligned with operational goals.



Requirements
  • Experience in the Smart Building, IoT, or software engineering space.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems, with the ability to understand practical applications.
  • Familiarity with Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) or other building automation applications is a plus. 
  • Solid data analysis skills, with the ability to work across diverse data sets and translate insights into action. 
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting (e.g., Python or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design scalable solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and client-facing teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field preferred.
