Social Finance, Inc. seeks Credit Risk Manager-Lending in San Francisco, CA:
Job Duties: Analyze, develop, and propose value added risk strategies for SoFi’s lending products
including Student Loans and Personal Loans. Partner with business partners as Business Unit, Capital
Markets, and Product, and use the business knowledge and analytical skills to drive revenue, control
risk, and provide value to the company and consumers. Architect the prescreen, underwriting, and
pricing optimization strategies. Design and implement credit risk testing for student loans or personal
loans across different channels and credit segments, and leverage testing results to continuously
optimize strategies. Work collaboratively with Data Science team to design new models’ tools that
address Early Default, Credit Risk or Bankruptcy Risk. Understand credit risk and develop approaches to
mitigate loss and responsibly grow revenue. Monitor performance of strategies and portfolios.
Document and communicate results and escalate issues as necessary. Identify gaps/opportunities and
drive actions. Telecommuting is an option.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Data Analytics, Finance,
or a related quantitative discipline and three (3) year of experience in the field of risk management/data
science/data analytics or three (3) year in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree
equivalent) in Data Analytics, Finance, or a closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of
progressively responsible experience in the field of risk management/data science/data analytics or five
(5) years of experience in the job offered.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Corporate Finance; (2) Business Analysis; (3) Financial Accounting; (4)
Cost Accounting; (5) Consumer Finance; (6) Pivot Tables; (7) SQL; (8) Python; (9) Data Analysis; and (10)
Consumer lending P&L. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
Telecommuting is an option.
