This position is part of the Fixed Access development team, and it contributes to DevOps Continuous Integration procedures of our product. It covers setup and maintenance of laboratory and associated equipment, tools, and devices.
You will be responsible for optimizing the sw integration & test flows for the deliverables of SW team. As an expert, you will leverage on and re-use DevOps practices and tools introduced on product level and explore new possibilities provided by Open Source SW
Responsibilities
- CI/CD Pipeline: Design, implement, and manage robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines for our software development lifecycle, ensuring smooth and efficient integration and delivery.
- Containerization and Automation: Leverage your expertise in Docker and Kubernetes to build and manage containerized applications and automate deployment processes.
- Build Systems and Scripting: Utilize your strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and knowledge of build systems (Make, Bazel) to optimize build processes and implement advanced caching techniques.
- Thrive in a Linux Environment: Demonstrate your deep understanding of Linux systems, including system administration, networking, and security, to ensure the stability and performance of our CI/CD infrastructure.
- Collaborate and Problem-Solve: Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues, implement best practices, and continuously improve our CI/CD processes and tools.
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Broad interest in the Telecom sector and knowledge of networks and considerable experience in Software Development.
- CI/CD Automation: Design, develop, and implement automation scripts and solutions to streamline and optimize the entire CI/CD pipeline for SW products.
- Apply CI/CD automation to Lab: Contribute to infrastructure and Lab for e2e automation testing ensuring proper network interconnections.
- Lab administrator: Release automation (Jenkins, etc), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience. Be able to generate detailed reports, logs, and metrics for protocol compliance, performance, and failure analysis.
- Manage & Harden Environments: Take ownership of build and test environments, ensuring their stability, security, and scalability across physical infrastructure, including OpenStack, and Kubernetes.
- Accelerate Software Delivery: Continuously improve CI availability and cycle times to accelerate the software validation and delivery process for increased efficiency and faster time-to-market.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
