The Integration, Verification & Testing (IVT) team is responsible for the integration and verification of software and/or hardware components into system, platform, and product releases, ensuring they meet specified requirements. This role specifically focuses on the testing of broadband devices and involves maintaining laboratory equipment, tools, and devices.
- Work effectively within a dynamic environment, applying best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to enhance products or services.
- Join an Agile Scrum Team dedicated to a defined functional area, translating customer or internal requirements into tangible deliverables for broadband devices.
- Analyze, design, and develop test use-cases to thoroughly test products, services, improvements, and bug resolutions for integrated hardware/software systems, particularly focusing on ONT (Optical Network Terminal), Beacon, and FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) devices, according to customer requirements.
- Test functional and non-functional technical requirements derived from customer needs, integrating test automation scripts into the product's continuous integration framework.
- Apply in-depth business knowledge and understand how various areas integrate to achieve objectives within the broadband domain.
- Utilize advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems or those without routine solutions, offering fresh perspectives.
- Apply and maintain quality standards, participating in process and tool evolutions and improvements.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Solid Networking knowledge and understanding of networking protocols, including Ethernet, L2/L3, TCP/UDP/TLS
- Good working knowledge of software testing (functional, regression, and/or non-functional testing) and experience in test design, test bed preparation/setup, test execution, and reporting.
- Automation experience with Robot/Python is desirable, along with strong debugging skills.
- Familiarity with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Delivery), Release automation (e.g., Jenkins), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience.
- Ability to generate detailed reports, logs, and metrics for protocol compliance, performance, and failure analysis.
- Lab support skills, including setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting test environments for broadband devices
Nice to have:
- Specific knowledge of PON (Passive Optical Network) or DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) technologies will be a significant plus
- Familiarity with SCM tools like Git and build development
- Proficiency with Linux OS and its deployment in virtual environments. Docker experience is an asset for host simulation
- Experience working in Agile
