Lead the definition and delivery of AI solutions for ERP and CRM platforms, managing product backlogs and stakeholder collaboration.
The summary above was generated by AI

The Senior Product Owner will own the definition and delivery of specific features of AI-powered capabilities and solutions across our core ERP and CRM SaaS platforms. With over 4,000 customers and a robust partner network, your actions and contributions will have far-reaching impacts on Unanet’s fastest growing product line.

Your strength will come from your dedicated scrum team, one that is comprised of experienced engineers that have built advanced web and mobile applications in multiple organizations.

What You’ll Do

  • Validate functionality and workflows to ensure we are solving the right problems for our customers; lead user acceptance testing for Unanet’s product lines
  • Facilitate ideation, development, and delivery for new products and enhancements; ensure alignment with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and customer experience
  • Research, define, and design requirements and scope through epics, user stories, and diagrams; synthesize research, analysis, design, and stakeholder as well as customer feedback into detailed product requirements
  • Set your engineering team up for success by collaborating with them in sprint activities, providing them with relevant user stories and guiding them in estimation
  • Manage the execution of comprehensive evaluation frameworks for LLM-driven features, encompassing automated testing and human-in-the-loop assessments
  • Establish metrics and processes for monitoring the performance of AI models in production -- including tracking accuracy, bias, and other relevant metrics to ensure the models continue to deliver quality outputs
  • Own and manage the intake of work to your product backlog including day-to-day grooming and prioritization, facilitating iteration planning efforts to ensure your development team has organized work
  • Conduct analyses of growth, adoption, engagement, and retention to inform, measure, and iterate on product advancements
  • Ensure ethics, compliance, and transparency in the development and deployment of models
  • Drive your teams to deliver a healthy and efficient cadence of product releases
  • Consistently deliver against success metrics and quantitative outcomes

Your First 90 Days

In your First 30 Days, you will understand Unanet’s AI vision, strategy, and contemplated AI roadmap through the lens of key stakeholders, functional peers, and relevant customer discovery work. You will clarify and realign requirements, increasing our success in delivery. Working with our Scrum Master and Lead Engineers, you will grow in your understanding of your team’s nuances and capabilities, taking ownership of the team’s backlog.

In your First 60 Days, you will work with a wider range of internal and external stakeholders to better understand the direction we’re going in and why. Empowered by what you have learned, you will partner with the Product Manager to question, redefine, and revalidate your team’s roadmap deliverables.

In Your First 90 Days, you will be looked at as an emerging Product expert in your area. You will own story writing and field engineering feedback needing little support from the Product Manager as you’ve internalized the strategy and what is required for an initiative to be successfully adopted by our customers. You will be the guiding light for your scrum team, executing on defined product deliverables.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of software product owner experience in a high-growth Agile environment
  • Demonstrated ability to understand data models, information retrieval methods, and knowing the right questions to ask to extract value from data sets
  • Familiar with AI ethics and best practices to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI implementations
  • Working knowledge of JIRA
  • Experience working with and guiding scrum teams, bringing multiple B2B software feature enhancements and bug fixes to market
  • Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders to collect business, functional and technical product requirements
  • Proven technical writing and visualization abilities; comfortable with technical architecture and can map out data flow diagrams with ease
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Your Differentiators

  • Experience in a rapid prototyping-style product environment; keen desire and appreciation for moving through the experimentation-to-commercialization journey
  • Experience with B2B ERP, CRM or other similar System of Record software solutions
  • Strong background in AI/ML toolchains and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience with cloud-based AI/ML services from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to AI, ensuring AI solutions meet industry standards and legal guidelines
  • Experience serving the Government Contracting (GovCon) or Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industries preferred to bring industry-specific insights to AI product development

Our Values

  • We are a Team. Employees, customers, and partners working together.
  • We are Customer-Focused. Customers are the heart of everything we do.
  • We are Driven. Seeking exceptional outcomes.
  • We Own our Success. Every employee has a stake in our company.
  • We do the right thing and have fun in the process.

The salary range for this opportunity is $122,500 - $145,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity as well as discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time. You will further be eligible to participate in Unanet's employee benefits plans and programs. For more details on Unanet's benefits offerings, please visit https://unanet.com/employee-benefits
