Hi, I'm Sterling, VP of Demand Generation at Customer.io. We're looking for a strategic content marketer to support our sales-led growth and help mid-market buyers understand our platform's unique value.

As our Sales-Led Growth Content Marketing Manager, you’ll create persuasive, persona-driven content that empowers our partner and sales teams to connect with growth-minded marketing and operations leaders. You'll craft assets that move deals forward in a considered but fast-paced buying process, including owning the development of our annual State of Messaging report - from sourcing surveys to organizing data while maintaining consistency with our established methodology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop mid- and bottom-of-funnel content, including case studies, comparison guides, ROI briefs, and sales one-pagers, to support sales conversations.
  • Collaborate with AEs, PMM, and solutions engineering to translate technical features into clear business value across verticals like SaaS, mobile apps, fintech, and healthtech.
  • Build messaging frameworks and enablement assets that help our team speak to the specific needs of marketing and lifecycle teams at product-led and customer-centric companies.
  • Partner with sales to execute targeted, persona-specific nurtures and content creation that supports high-conversion outbound and follow-up campaigns.
  • Support cross-functional campaigns and ABM initiatives with content tailored to industries, use cases, and company maturity levels.
  • Measure content impact on sales performance, including partner recruitment, close rates, and pipeline acceleration.
About You:
  • 3–5 years of B2B SaaS content marketing experience, ideally supporting sales cycles for mid-market and early enterprise buyers.
  • Strong grasp of technical marketing concepts (e.g., marketing automation, behavioral data, customer messaging orchestration).
  • Experience collaborating with sales and customer-facing teams to develop high-impact enablement materials.
  • Skilled at writing for multiple personas, especially growth marketers, marketing ops, and technical decision-makers.
  • Comfortable with fast-paced, feedback-driven environments and adapting content to evolving sales strategies.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Familiarity with the buying cycles of mid-market companies and early-stage marketing teams.
  • Ability to simplify complex product capabilities while still appealing to the broadest possible technically-savvy audience.
  • Success creating content for SaaS buyers evaluating solutions without extensive procurement teams.
  • Experience with CRM, enablement, or ABM tools to understand what content resonates and converts.
  • Proven track record building assets or enablement material that speed up sales cycles and support high-conversion outbound.
