Senior CEO Communications Manager is a senior communications professional dedicated to shaping and executing the communications presence of Nokia's Chief Executive Officer. Working within the Corporate Communications & Executive Messaging team and reporting to the VP, Corporate Communications & Executive Messaging, this role is the primary engine behind the CEO's communications, ensuring consistent voice across key channels!

This role requires exceptional writing and editorial judgement, a deep understanding of technology and business strategy, and the ability to translate complex ideas into communications that land with diverse audiences - from employees and investors to media and policymakers. CEO Communications will work in close partnership with Nokia’s President and CEO, CEO Chief of Staff and the GMC team. In addition, the role holder will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure that the CEO's communications are always purposeful, well-prepared and strategically aligned.

This is a high-visibility role that demands both creative excellence and operational rigour, and must be capable of operating with discretion, speed and sound judgement.

Responsibilities

CEO Voice and Content

  • Own the development and ongoing refinement of the CEO's voice, tone and communication style across all channels.

  • Plan all CEO communications, fully aligned to Nokia’s overall business strategy, communications plan, and core narrative.

  • Working with the CEO’s speechwriter and other GMC resources, write, edit and prepare content for the CEO across a wide range of formats including speeches, keynotes, LinkedIn posts, op-eds, internal messages, media statements and video scripts.

  • Ensure all CEO content is strategically aligned, on-message and of the highest editorial standard.

  • Work with AI tools to build and maintain a repository of CEO messaging, narratives and positioning that can be activated quickly across contexts.

Executive Preparation and Briefing

  • Prepare the CEO for high-profile engagements including media interviews, analyst briefings, customer events, speaking opportunities and internal all-hands.

  • Develop comprehensive briefing materials that equip the CEO with the context, messaging and anticipated lines of questioning needed to perform with confidence.

  • Anticipate reputational risks and ensure the CEO is prepared to navigate sensitive or complex topics.

Thought Leadership and External Profile

  • Develop and execute a thought leadership strategy for the CEO, identifying platforms, moments and content opportunities that build credibility and profile.

  • Partner with media, analyst, customer and investor relations teams to ensure CEO external engagements are well-prepared and strategically timed.

  • Manage and continuously optimise the CEO's digital and social presence – in partnership with GMC’s digital team, leveraging analytics and audience insights

Internal CEO Communications

  • Own the CEO's internal communications calendar, including all-employee messages, town halls, leadership updates and major change moments.

  • Ensure internal CEO communications are human, clear and consistent with external positioning and the overall Nokia narrative.

  • Work closely with GMC teams to align internal and external narratives.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with the VP, Corporate Communications & Executive Messaging, to ensure CEO messaging is integrated with broader communications strategies, key moments and corporate narrative.

  • Act as a trusted partner to the CEO's Chief of Staff and executive office, ensuring communications planning is embedded in the CEO's schedule well in advance.

  • Collaborate with GLT communications leads to ensure consistency across Nokia's senior leadership voice.

Qualifications

You must have:

  • Strong experience in executive communications, speechwriting or a closely related discipline, ideally within a global technology or B2B organisation, and ideally with a CEO.

  • Exceptional writing ability - concise, persuasive and adaptable across formats from keynote speeches to LinkedIn posts.

  • Proven experience supporting C-suite executives, with the ability to build trusted, high-value relationships at the most senior levels.

  • Strong strategic instinct and the ability to connect communications decisions to business context and reputational considerations.

  • High personal discretion, sound judgement and the ability to work effectively under pressure and at pace.

  • A confident and proactive approach to AI: using AI to enhance research and accelerate content development, synthesise inputs and increase the overall quality and pace of communications work.

It would be advantageous if you also had:

  • Experience in the technology, telecoms or infrastructure sector.

  • Familiarity with investor, media or analyst communications.

  • An understanding of AI, network infrastructure or related technology narratives.

  • Experience working across multiple languages or geographies.
