Location: On-site in Murray Hill, NJ
This summer intern position is within the Opto-Electronic Integration Research Group at Bell Labs, where we are pursuing research into AI-assisted links for performance optimization. The intern project will study AI frameworks that can be applied to circuit design, with an aim to demonstrate feasibility with a hardware prototype.
As a part of our team, you will:
Explore AI-assisted techniques for optimizing optical and electronic link performance.
Study AI frameworks applicable to advanced circuit design.
Develop models and algorithms to evaluate feasibility of AI-driven design approaches.
Implement and prototype hardware demonstrating key research concepts.
Document findings and present results to the Opto-Electronic Integration Research Group.
Must be enrolled in a PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Knowledge of analog circuit theory, and IC Design in CMOS or SiGe BiCMOS technologies
Knowledge of AI/ML Concepts
Hands-on experience and expertise in one of the above domains
- Programming proficiency in Matlab or Python
