Eaton’s Residential & Wiring Devices Division is seeking a Product Line Manager (PLM) to lead the strategy, growth, and profitability of the Wiring Devices portfolio across residential, commercial, industrial, data center, and institutional markets. Relocation assistance available for candidates residing 50 miles outside Peachtree City, GA.
This role has end to end ownership of the product line, including portfolio strategy, new product development, pricing, lifecycle management, and commercial execution. The Product Line Manager partners closely with Product Managers, Eaton’s North American Sales organization, a national network of Manufacturing Sales Representatives, and cross functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing Communications to translate market needs into sustainable growth and strong financial performance.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, commercially minded leader who can drive results in a matrixed organization without formal authority, while elevating product management discipline and operating rigor.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $165000 - $242000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Product Line Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
• Own and execute the multi year Wiring Devices product line strategy aligned with division growth objectives
• Define and manage the product roadmap, balancing innovation, lifecycle management, profitability, and capacity considerations
• Translate market trends, voice of customer (VOC), customer insights, and competitive intelligence into actionable portfolio decisions
• Lead portfolio governance, including SKU rationalization, lifecycle transitions, and end of life decisions
Commercial & Market Leadership
• Partner with Sales, Agents, Distributors, and key customers to drive profitable growth and product adoption
• Lead pricing and margin strategy in collaboration with Pricing and Finance
• Support go to market execution for new products, conversions, and growth initiatives
• Serve as a senior product and commercial voice in customer engagements and internal leadership forums
New Product Development (NPD) & Lifecycle Management
• Lead new product development from VOC and opportunity evaluation through launch, transition, and adoption
• Ensure launch readiness across marketing, operations, supply chain, and sales enablement
• Own product stewardship, including documentation, compliance, data accuracy, and quality feedback loops
• Drive disciplined lifecycle management to improve portfolio health and execution predictability
Cross Functional Leadership & Execution
• Lead cross functional initiatives across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing, Finance, and Sales
• Drive alignment, prioritization, and decision making in a complex matrix environment
• Establish and maintain operating cadence, including roadmap reviews, portfolio reviews, and QBR inputs
• Resolve tradeoffs and escalations while balancing strategic and operational needs
Analytics, Forecasting & Business Insight
• Leverage sales, demand, profitability, and lifecycle data to drive fact based decisions
• Partner with Demand Management and Sales Operations to improve forecast accuracy and SIOP execution
• Translate complex data into clear, executive ready insights and recommendations
• Support development of standardized dashboards and portfolio performance metrics
Talent & Capability Development
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to Product Managers and cross functional partners
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations across the product management ecosystem
• Foster a culture of accountability, learning agility, and continuous improvement
• Build bench strength and support succession planning within the product management organization
Basic (Required) Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, product management, and/or engineering
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience in electrical products, building materials, or adjacent industrial markets
• Experience selling technical products through B2C
• Experience selling or marketing products in the retail channel
• Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management, and channel strategy
• Experience working with global manufacturing and supply chain partners
