Lead in-depth technical discussions and conduct product demonstrations, lab evaluations, and network trials to showcase Nokia’s innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to evaluate and develop business opportunities at the regional and sub-regional level.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert, engaging customers to present tailored technical solutions and articulating the associated value clearly.
- Build and manage relationships with customers at all organizational levels, facilitating both top-down and bottom-up sales initiatives.
- Identify customer requirements and effectively communicate insights to internal pricing teams for optimal proposal development.
- Analyze internal and external business challenges to recommend best practices that enhance products, processes, and services.
- Provide comprehensive pre-sales and post-sales engineering support to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
- Travel up to 50% for customer engagements, collaborative strategy sessions, and representation of Nokia at industry events.
Your skills and experience
- 10+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience, including leading customer engagements, meetings and internal strategies, in the telecommunications industry.
- 10+ years of networking experience, including Optical, IP, or data center-related technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of optical networking architectures.
- Experience designing optical networks of varying sizes, capacity, and scale.
- Experience with OpenConfig, RESTCONF, NETCONF-YANG, and telemetry.
- Candidates must have hands-on experience of a major network vendor’s DWDM equipment.
- Demonstrated success in challenging customer-facing roles; ability to build positive relationships and serve as the primary technical interface of Nokia
- Proven experience in complex selling environments, driving consistent strategy across multiple customer sets.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Advanced expertise in optical network engineering.
- Experience building tools in python to facilitate lab demonstrations, proof of concepts, and automation.
- Major vendor certification (DWDM, network design, routing, security, cloud, virtualization).
