The Monitoring Engineer will perform the implementation, management, integration, assessment, automation and delivery of the monitoring platforms within a virtualized cloud architecture. Monitoring will involve diagnosing performance and availability issues across the multiple monitoring platforms and taking action before problems become critical. As the Monitoring Engineer, you understand that monitoring covers numerous complicated components interacting with and impacting each other and will therefore identify and implement monitoring from multiple sources.
Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Duties include but are not limited to):• Manage the N-Able (Solarwinds MSP) and LogicMonitor environments• Keep platforms fine-tuned, optimized, and up to date, and to reduce false positive rates• Build dashboards NOC/SOC visibility of environment• Troubleshoot issues related to monitoring devices• Assist with creating new automation to optimize the monitoring platforms and the devices which are monitored• Document architectures, procedures, and processes for use by other cloud operators.• Create documentation for helpdesk to use and remediate issues on first call.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE & OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Educational & Skills Requirements:• A college degree or equivalent work experience (5+ years).• Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and editorial abilities.• Excellent organizational and time management skills.• Apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope, requiring in-depth evaluation as well as the ability to identify problems in advance, and propose solutions.• Require limited supervision and direction; drive results, and set priorities independently.
Needed Attributes:• A proven level of experience in RMM solutions (N-Able, Solarwinds, LogicMonitor)• Ability to demonstrate a high level of competency in managing technical projects• Excellent communication skills.• Experience with project management.• Proficiency in computer usage, internet, and Microsoft Office suite of applications including O365.
