Hi! I’m Brad, General Counsel here at Customer.io, and I’m looking for an amazing Legal Operations / Contracts Manager to join our small, but mighty Legal team.

You'll be a key player in our legal department working closely with me, our legal team, and our operations team, providing the support needed to keep our operations running smoothly as we grow. You'll have the chance to develop operational structures, manage contracts, and assist with legal reviews. Your work will be essential in ensuring that our legal framework scales with and supports our rapidly expanding company.

Some things you'll do:

  • Manage and optimize our legal systems, including our CLM, ZenDesk, Docusign, Notion, and other systems.
  • Develop operational structures to improve and measure our legal department's efficiency and workflow.
  • Take part in contract management, including drafting, reviewing, and potentially negotiating agreements.
  • Assist with legal reviews to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure legal operations align with business goals.
  • Tackle other legal tasks, including some legal assistant tasks, as needed in our fast-paced tech environment.

About You:

  • We’d prefer that you have a bachelor's degree (paralegal certificate also considered)
  • You bring at least 5+ years of experience to the table in a similar role.
  • You're experienced with various legal systems (e.g. tools like DocuSign, Notion, Exterro, LinkSquares (CLM), ZenDesk, Carta, Board Portals and/or Ethics Hotlines)
  • You've got a background in creating operational structures that make sense and love to dive into the details and get your hands dirty.
  • You’re passionate about organization, building structure and processes, and getting things done!

What We're Looking For:

  • If you've worked with specific legal systems, we're especially interested.
  • Contract negotiation and legal review experience? Big plus.
  • If you've got a history in the tech industry, particularly in marketing tech or SaaS, you'll fit right in.
  • Adaptability, attention to detail, organization, and excellent communication skills are key.
  • Bias for action and ownership are critical for this role
