As an IT Cyber Security Professional & Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role to ensure Network security and Network operations support, for reliable protection of Bell Labs intellectual property - bringing the risk to an acceptable level and to ensure business continuity.
Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing lab networks at global Bell Labs locations, utilizing FortiGate Firewalls and other underlying network devices, centralized firewall management and monitoring systems, also supporting site relocation projects in the scope of TAO Research Lab networks.
You will also be responsible for the deployment and operational support of these lab networks and Firewall management, ensuring they align with Nokia's lab network strategy and design.
Responsibilities- Design and implement TAO lab networks at global Bell Labs locations, utilizing primarily FortiGate Firewalls and Enterprise L3/L2 core and edge devices.
- Deploy and manage TAO lab networks at key research sites, adhering to Nokia's lab network strategy.
- Provide operational support for lab networks, including FW policy management and central management platform operations.
- Mitigate vulnerabilities within the Lab network infrastructure and collaborate with security teams to ensure proper execution.
- Ensure the lab network infrastructure is secure, efficient, and high-performing for Research Lab teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Lab administrators and security experts, to deliver effective solutions.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successful network security implementations.
- Specialized in Network Security, Architectures, and Design, with strong expertise in Firewall and Enterprise networks with LAN, WLAN, and VPN technologies, with experience in network management and operation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network and security issues, and experience with enterprise-class network and security hardware.
- Proficiency with Fortinet FortiGate Firewall, Palo Alto Firewall, Nokia SR OS, SR Linux, EDA as a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, zero-trust network access, and services such as DNS, DHCP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex requirements and engineer effective solutions.
- Experience in driving projects within cross-functional teams, demonstrating a 'making it work' mentality.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with global teams.
