Group Summary:

As part of Magna International, Magna Energy Storage Systems Group develops and manufactures innovative fuel tank systems and components for heavy-duty trucks and passenger cars, specializing in plug-in hybrids. At Magna, you will be part of an international, dynamic team committed to delivering high-quality products and shaping the future of mobility.

Job Responsibilities:
  • In Line Inspection
  • Leak Testing
  • Documentation Repair welds
  • Fast Response in case of systematic welding defects
  • Camera-Offset
  • Riveting
  • Backup for all OPs
  • Operating machines or using manual methods in a safe manner to meet production goals.
  • Assess welds to ensure cleanliness and within designated specifications of customer requirements.
  • Repair robot welds as needed
  • Conduct test to evaluate weld quality
  • Collaborate with engineeringing to address issues

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduation from related trade school or high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least 1-3 years of related experience or combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience TIG welding. Experience with aluminum strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to assess metal structures to identify and initaiate repair of damaged welds.
  • Ability to measure close tolerances (Metric & Imperial)
  • Knowledge and ability to use small tools, operate air/hand toold, welders, grinder and buffing machines.
