Manage and optimize IBM Z mainframe storage infrastructure, including DS8000 DASD and TS7700 virtual tape systems. Configure DFSMS policies, oversee backups, replication, disaster recovery, capacity planning, automation, and incident response. Troubleshoot outages, perform root cause analysis, resolve dataset access issues, and execute storage migrations. The role requires expertise in z/OS, storage utilities, FICON, access methods, replication protocols, resiliency technologies, and storage performance.

Responsible for CICS engineering and maintenance in a 24x7 Sysplex/CICSPlex mainframe environment: performance tuning, dump analysis, SMP/E upgrades, CICSPlex customization, interfacing with developers and operations, monitoring (Sysview), and on-call support. Requires COBOL and MQ knowledge to support applications.
