We are seeking a Director of Logistics Strategy to define and lead the long-term logistics network vision for our organization. This executive-level role will shape how we move goods from origin to customer, driving step-change improvements in cost, speed, and resilience through bold strategic thinking and rigorous analytical execution.
The ideal candidate combines deep logistics domain expertise with executive communication skills and the ability to build alignment across commercial, supply chain, finance, and technology teams on major network investments and operational transformations.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and own the multi-year logistics network strategy including warehouse footprint, carrier portfolio, modal mix, and last-mile delivery
• Lead network design studies and scenario modeling to evaluate cost, service, and capital trade-offs of strategic logistics investments
• Define and drive a carrier and 3PL strategy that optimizes cost, service reliability, and supply chain flexibility
• Partner with executive leadership to build the business case for major logistics infrastructure and technology investments
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute logistics transformation initiatives from concept through full deployment
• Establish logistics performance frameworks, set targets, and hold the organization accountable for delivery against strategic KPIs
• Anticipate and respond to market, regulatory, and competitive dynamics that affect logistics strategy
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive logistics or supply chain leadership experience with clear strategic scope
• Deep expertise across transportation, warehousing, network design, and 3PL management
• Proven ability to develop executive-level strategy, communicate complex trade-offs, and drive organizational alignment
• Strong financial acumen and experience building ROI-based business cases for large capital investments
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business
• Experience leading logistics strategy for a high-volume consumer products, e-commerce, or retail organization
• Familiarity with logistics technology platforms including TMS, WMS, and network modeling tools (LLamasoft, Coupa Supply Chain Design)
