The Role:

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical programs related to data products, backend payment systems, and API integrations, as well as some large-scale technical initiatives that require cross-functional alignment. You will work closely with various departments and functions, most especially engineering, product management, InfoSec, and operations, to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet high-quality standards. Your technical expertise and program management skills will be critical in driving the success of our initiatives. Additionally, this role will help to implement and monitor our R&D JIRA strategy within our product development lifecycle, alongside the program, product, and engineering teams.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring that technical solutions are aligned with business objectives and clearly communicated back to company leadership
  • Program Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical programs, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs
  • Strategic Planning: Support our R&D organization in their annual planning processes, especially focused on the use of JIRA Software and JIRA Atlas to map how the initiatives under consideration are tied to company goals. Help the InfoSec team and other parts of the organization in their participation in annual planning as well
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies, to ensure program success and compliance
  • Thought Partnership: Engage with the product and engineering management on priority of roadmap, particularly when it comes to quarterly and annual planning, comparison of impact/effort of initiatives, and socializing the rationale behind those engineering decisions to ensure alignment and understanding
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed program documentation, including status reports, technical specifications, and post-program evaluations
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, product management, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless program execution and alignment

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or has commensurate experience; PMP, Scrum Master, Kanban Systems Design or equivalent certification preferred
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical program management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical programs related to data products, backend payment systems, and API integrations. Ideally, experience in the Banking, Fintech, or other similar industry
  • Extensive experience in Lean, or similar Agile approaches to Software Product Build and Delivery, and tooling that enables these activities (ex. JIRA)
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of data products, backend payment systems, and API integrations. Ability to engage with technical teams and understand technical challenges
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize program outcomes
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

United States locations are categorized into three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The salary ranges are listed by geographic tier. Additionally, this role may be eligible for variable incentive compensation and stock options. Where a candidate fits within the compensation range for a role is based on their demonstrated experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.
