We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Play Expansion & Acquisition to help bring Magic play to new spaces, new audiences, and new markets around the world.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop scalable program frameworks that enable Magic play in new environments while maintaining brand and player experience standards.
  • Own strategy and execution across Magic play for new-to-play acquisition initiatives, in established and new verticals, from concept through launch, measurement, and iteration.
  • Establish clear success metrics for acquisition and expansion programs and use data-driven insights to optimize performance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the central Play Team and internal international teams on play-related initiatives, ensuring alignment, clarity of ownership, and shared accountability.

What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum of 5 years experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven success launching or scaling programs in retail, experiential, or group-focused environments.
  • Experience crafting and executing acquisition strategies with measurable business impact.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with operational excellence and follow-through.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling.

Nice to Have
  • Experience working with international markets and regional teams.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities, especially fluency in Japanese.
  • Familiarity with hobby retail, specialty retail, or entertainment verticals.
  • Experience in live events, organized play, or community ecosystem development.
  • Passion for Magic: The Gathering and tabletop gaming.
