Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Specialist, Codes & Standards - State Adoption. This is a remote role that is based near Pittsburgh PA, Arden NC, Raleigh NC, Charlotte NC, or Atlanta GA.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Standards initiatives and technical training / marketing for Eaton’s ARS business by representing Eaton at local state adoption activities, providing technical training and representation of Eaton and constituent groups to which Eaton belongs, and drive favorable adoption of the most current edition of the NEC®.  
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
a) Coordinate activity with the Government Relations team
b) Support code adoption process at the state and local level to ensure the NEC is adopted as written without amendments
c) Manage marketing communications, publications, articles and white papers establishing Eaton position on technology and regulatory issues
d) Stay current with emerging technology and regulatory trends and update product/marketing teams for potential new product opportunities or product updates
e) Develop training materials, marketing presentations and present
f) Support Codes and Standards Manager with industry relationships as required
g) Adhere to safety policies and identifies safety issues aligned with MESH requirements
h) Support national/regional industry events/tradeshows as pertinent and needed

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution 
•    Three (3) years of experience in technical marketing, engineering, or a related field 
•    Prior experience in electrical industry/products
•    Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, Marketing or related technical degree preferred
•    MBA or related advanced degree
•    Five (5) years of experience in technical marketing, engineering, or a related field 
•    Technical understanding of electrical equipment and application
•    Understanding of building and electrical code development process and implementation
•    Product development and certification knowledge
Travel:
•    Up to 50% across the United States
