This is a role within Chamberlain Group's (CG) sales function, designed to lead CG's go-to-market efforts for cutting-edge facility-focused software. A successful incumbent's main missions are to (i) spearhead and continuously develop the entire sales process for myQ Enterprise from lead generation to completion of sale (ii) identify, build, and own relationships with prospective sales targets (iii) build and coach a team of high-performing sales representatives.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Pioneer go-to-market efforts for myQ Enterprise through creative selling strategies and thought leadership
  • Own entire sales process for myQ Enterprise, including lead generation, lead development, pre-sales, proposal writing, and contracting - coordinating with other CG team GTM team members as needed
  • Define and build initial customer and partner target lists to enable focused engagement with high potential prospects and partners; compare and evaluate partners to determine best targets to help CG grow an emerging facilities software/SaaS business
  • Work with marketing team to understand customer pain points and prepare/review reach out and pitch materials
  • Secure customer meetings and engage with customer stakeholders at all steps of the sales process
  • Serve as first point of contact for potential customers and conduct sales meetings
  • Serve as a primary communicator between customer and rest of myQ team, reporting back feedback and other important meeting notes
  • Work with Customer Success Manager to ensure smooth transition of materials and customer support
  • Represent sales on the cross functional team responsible for designing and bringing myQ Enterprise to market
  • Spearhead the hiring of a team of sales representatives for myQ Enterprise; Manage and motivate software sales representatives while providing them with proper resources and coaching to succeed
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field; Master's Degree in related discipline preferred
  • 7+ Years of software/SaaS business development and sales across prospects, customers, and partners
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and objectives
  • Proven success bringing new software/SaaS solutions to market
  • 3+ Experience in people management
  • Strong ability to present and communicate software/SaaS based solution value propositions to multiple levels within an organization (C-Suite, Manager, Operations, Finance, etc...)
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial
  • Strong sense of Customer Advocacy
  • Change agent, able to drive new processes and streamline existing ones
  • High degree of influence in cross-functional roles
  • Ability to recognize and articulate trends and insights across the customer base
  • Basic proficiency in CRM Management
  • Ability to travel up to 60% - domestically and internationally, valid driver's license
  • Preferred: Experience in facility management (selling, integrating with or similar)
  • Preferred: Experience (selling, integrating with or similar) with WMS (warehouse management systems), YMS (yard management systems), or TMS (transportation management systems)
  • Preferred: High proficiency in CRM Management
  • Preferred: Well-established contact network amongst VPs of supply-chain, operations, logistics or similar


#LI-hybrid - Candidates must be based in the Chicagoland area. This role will be hybrid, but candidates must be able to travel to our Oak Brook, IL headquarters when the needed.
