As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Lending Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

As a Software Engineer Lead, you will be part of an Agile engineering team where you will be responsible for technical design and development within our Payments Technology line of business. Additionally, you will work with our testers to address bugs or defects and propose & design solutions. This position would require fluidity and flexibility, as this is not a role with specific guidelines where you will perform the same tasks on a day to day basis. As a Software Engineer Lead, you will also be responsible for serving as a mentor for other members of the team.
Due to the nature of this position we are seeking passionate Software Engineer Leads. Candidates should have experience with the following:
• Creates High level Design
• Oversees scrum team development
• Performs code/design reviews to ensure quality and consistency
• Coaches team members on secure coding practices and in general best practices in development
• Confirms that proper test coverage is obtained for the release of code (unit test coverage, performance test, and regression automation)
• Responsible for monthly release preparation and ensuring the crew’s stories are migrated properly to Production
• Responsible to coordinate the necessary KT to the RTB team for all changes
• Attends Wing Tech Lead meeting regularly
• Engage with C&IB Architecture team as needed
• Miscellaneous tasks to ensure Crew meets commitments
• Apply modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
• Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application technical implementation and troubleshoot problems.
• Additional requirements for this role include expertise in the ICON IPF product.
Suggested area of expertise for ICON IPF:
- payments experience (Swift and Fed);
- Confluent Kafka;
- Mongo DB;
- Akka framework;
- Unix scripting;
- Java based integration with spring framework and J2EE platforms;
- RESTful webservices design and development;
- API design specification using Swagger framework.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $158,700.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
