As a Software Engineer II at Gopuff, you'll develop advertising solutions to enhance user experience and aid retailers, using your skills in scalable applications and modern web technologies.
Gopuff’s engineering team is building solutions to dramatically change the way people purchase their daily goods. We provide the modern-day solution to meet customers' immediate everyday needs with products ranging from snacks and ice cream to household goods and beer, at the click of a button.
We are seeking a Software Engineer who is excited about creating best-in-class advertising solutions that will create a win-win-win: for our shoppers, advertisers and Gopuff as a business. In this role you will support the Gopuff Ads business across our growing ads product suite of Sponsored Search & Products, Display, Non-Endemic, In-Bag Samples, Data Insights & Partnerships, and much more. The kind of people we are looking for think creatively, turn ideas into outcomes, and are data-driven. Experience in commerce or retail media is a bonus.
Your primary responsibility will be to build and improve our advertising products, to help drive discovery for customers and measurable, meaningful impacts for our advertising partners. The right candidate will have the technical aptitude to drive good technology choices through collaboration with an empowered team. Success in this role will be measured by the team’s effective delivery of world-class ad products and shopper experiences. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about delivering consistently great products within our growing engineering team.
This is a hybrid position (Tues-Thurs onsite) in our Philadelphia, PA or Aventura, FL locations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or related field) At least 3 years of engineering experience with a proven track record as an engineer building scalable publicly facing applications and/or services
- Proficiency with modern web, frontend and server, and/or cloud applications
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and databases
- Proficiency with React and ReactNative
- Experience with: TypeScript, Federated GraphQL, Java, SQL
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional partners and teams
- Ability to write scalable and extensible systems
- An in-depth and hands on knowledge of data structures, algorithms and modern web and/or cloud technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with microservices and /or distributed systems
- Experience with a variety of web services
- Public cloud experience in a production setting (Azure preferred)
- Experience with Kubernetes / Helm / DevOps experienceRetail Media/AdTech experience
Responsibilities:
- Promote and support Gopuff Engineering’s culture of inclusion and diversity

- Build, deploy, and maintain your own code
- Support standard development practices across your team, including idiomatic syntax, design patterns
- Implement and Monitor analytics to ensure the correctness of the business process
