The Role

SoFi is dedicated to developing a best-in-class Fintech Collections group that aligns with the changing needs of our members. The Collections Issue & Emerging Risk Manager role is an exciting opportunity to help support CCoE Leadership!

As the Collections Issue & Emerging Risk Manager, you will be a key member of the Collections team that will help support critical control, governance, and regulatory processes. You will manage all parts of the issue management process including issue identification, escalation, root cause analysis, action plan creation and execution, closure, and validation. In addition, you will work closely with leadership to keep all parties apprised of updates and risks through regular executive communications.


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop strong cross-company relationships with business, engineering, and product leaders to move issue fixes forward

  • Manage the issue identification and escalation process and own issue resolution expectations

  • Help to produce executive-ready materials as required for committees and the board related to open issues and emerging risks 

  • Work with CCoE leadership to support planning, execution of initiatives, and communication

  • Develop a strong framework, controls, and processes around the issue management process

  • Work with Audit/Exam Management and Control teams to establish a robust interaction framework to ensure all potential issues are documented and remediated quickly

  • Work closely with leadership to define issue action plans and execution timelines

  • Diligently review processes for potential enhancements to effectiveness and efficiency

  • Ad hoc duties to support CCoE


What You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience in Operations, Compliance, or Risk with a focus on Collections

  • High motivation to learn, drive change, and able to work collaboratively in a complex and fast-paced environment

  • Strong cross-functional, teaming, and communications skills as well as an ability to work in a fluid and highly collaborative environment

  • Experience using SQL to extract actionable information from relational databases

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and relationships, bridge communication gaps, resolve conflicts, and influence stakeholders at all levels 

  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and concise

  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills

  • Ability to operate independently with excellent time management skills and the ability to deliver on multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
