Description and Requirements
The primary responsibility of the PlanSmart Report Specialist is to process files received to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements concerning life insurance conversion and portability notifications for MetLife group customer employees. The Report Specialist also handles generating reports that prompt outreach requests to PlanSmart Specialists. This involves consolidating data from various sources into a unified format.
This role is a great opportunity for the Reports Specialist to enhance their skills and gain insight into various departments and functions at MetLife.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive customer files via email, secure mail or FTP transfer. Review and manipulate data into a standardized format
- Prioritize and process data records which arrive in various formats within the appropriate company guidelines; audit department processes to ensure accuracy of content and consistency
- Follow specific customer file process instructions and identify, research and troubleshoot potential issues to ensure reports are processed timely and accurately
- Collaborate with others to document process and system improvements that drive better customer service and efficiencies, providing support as needed around the creation and distribution of outreach requests generated as a result of the PlanSmart programs
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Intermediate or above proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, primarily an above average user of Microsoft Excel.
- Able to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of data integrity; working across a multitude of systems and databases at the same time.
- Must possess high level of organizational, prioritization, be detail-oriented and have excellent time management skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure, producing consistent results while following a repetitive process.• •
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
The salary range for applicants for this position is $46,000+.
