Our growing Product team is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to help build our customer experience around a feature-rich and open Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. In partnership with our Product Management, you will own the vision, definition and delivery of specific modules of our ERP solution and will be a key contributor in our overall product strategy. With over 3,700 customers and a robust partner network, your actions and contributions will have far-reaching impacts on our multi-product business.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive the next iteration of Time & Expense functionality within our flagship GovCon ERP system; drive modernization and accessibility efforts while focusing on key compliance features including DCAA-compliant time tracking, expense reporting, and accounting for accurate cost and revenue recognition
  • Establish, deliver and measure success for the time and expense roadmap, prioritizing work based on strategic impact and customer needs
  • Develop a thorough understanding of GovCon personas (e.g., time and expense users, project managers, finance officers, compliance specialists)
  • Set your engineering team up for success by collaborating with them in sprint activities, providing them with relevant user stories and guiding them in estimation
  • Execute Go-To-Market plans with Product Marketing, tailored to the GovCon sector, including compliance-focused messaging and end-user guidance on new time and expense functionality
  • Participate in escalated issues related to time and expense, coordinating with technical support and engineering to quickly resolve critical issues for GovCon users

Your First 90 Days

In your First 30 Days, you will learn about Unanet and our product and grow in your understanding of Unanet through the lens of our current product offerings You will learn what is scheduled to be delivered over the coming quarters. With this knowledge, you will help clarify and realign requirements, writing epics and user stories as well as refining them with your team.

In your First 60 Days, you will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and help them understand our product direction and the reasoning behind it. In partnership with our Product Management leadership and User Experience (UX) team, you will question, redefine, revalidate and solidify our roadmap deliverables.

In your First 90 Days, you will drive our Go-to-Market (GTM) plan for respective product deliverables. You will evangelize the product roadmap, committing lighthouse customers and defining success metrics for adoption and engagement. You will be the guiding light for your scrum team, executing on defined product deliverables.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of business-to-business (B2B) software product management experience in the time and expense domain
  • Strong familiarity with time tracking and expense reporting
  • Understanding of government contracting (GovCon) compliance requirements (e.g., DCAA standards, SCA wages, FAR)
  • Effective communication skills with a focus on navigating complex workflows and compliance requirements and gaining alignment with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments and ability to contribute effectively to iterative planning
  • Accountability and drive to deliver high-quality products
  • Ability to occasionally travel to headquarters for meetings, and to customer sites
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Understanding of accounting principles such as cost allocation, indirect cost pools, and financial reporting

The salary range for this opportunity is $135,000 – 145,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity as well as discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
