This is a remote-friendly position open to candidates residing in the US in Central or Eastern timezones. If you happen to live close to one of our physical office locations, our doors are open for you to come into the office as often as you'd like.

Reddit is looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our Internationalization (i18n) team and help expand Reddit to users globally. In this role, you will design experiences for our international users that are localized and relevant to their unique needs based on the cultural nuances of the market. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to solve complex problems. Integrate accessibility into the design and development processes, advocate for best practices, and foster a culture of inclusivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of consumer features for our international users – respecting cultural nuances and language preferences to enable thriving Reddit communities globally.
  • Be a strategic problem solver and i18n user advocate, conceptualizing non-obvious improvements that push Reddit further in these markets, and help the team chart a path to get there.
  • Experiment and collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to uncover and understand international user needs and business objectives.
  • Translate compelling early-stage i18n ideas into scalable design solutions that improve the overall consumer experience for our US users too
  • Drive consensus across diverse teams across consumer and moderation through a high level of design craft and strategic influence

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills across both web and mobile applications.
  • Experience in social or consumer-facing products; ideally designing for international users 
  • Ability to navigate complexity independently and bring clarity to ambiguous situations 
  • Track record of demonstrating impact while working closely with Director+ level stakeholders across the company
  • An influential story-teller with strong written and presentation skills who is adept at bringing others along in their process for maximum buy-in and impact
  • Strong product sensibilities and point of view with a demonstrated ability to operate as an owner of a strategic vision

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base pay range for this position is:
$180,200$252,300 USD
