Job Description
Team:
The Creator Workflows App Engine organization innovates on developer-facing products and experiences that empower customers and developers across the skill spectrum to build, extend, and customize applications solving critical business workflows. This role will focus on integrating Generative AI capabilities that push the boundaries of building intelligent workflow applications and accelerate development velocity within the App Engine ecosystem. The Inbound Product Management team defines the vision, strategy, roadmap prioritizations, and executes with our design and engineering partners on amazing experiences for our developer personas.
Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Inbound Product Manager with a strong background in enterprise software development platforms and a deep understanding of Generative AI technology. This role is centered on enhancing App Engine's capabilities, focusing on scaling innovation and integration of Generative AI features to streamline application development and improve customer outcomes.
What you get to do in this role:

  • Spearhead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Generative AI for developers on ServiceNow by representing the voice of the customer and developer user.
  • Define and track success metrics for AI-powered features, constantly refining and evolving our approach based on performance, quality, and usage data.
  • Build business cases to explore uncharted opportunities for ServiceNow developers in the Generative AI space. Keep a pulse on the fast-evolving competitive landscape and lead our customers and the market on how we solve for their needs.
  • Conduct regular analysis of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy and identify potential partnerships or acquisition targets.
  • Foster cross-BU collaboration to align on company-wide Generative AI strategy solving developer user needs and driving towards business and customer outcomes. This will require influence at the highest levels of the company.
  • Lead initiatives to embed Generative AI capabilities that enable customers to generate application schema, automate processes, and create robust applications.
  • Manage backlog prioritization for App Engine Generative AI products and features, collaborating with cross-functional peers in engineering, design, research, to deliver amazing developer experiences.
  • Coordinate with Outbound Product Management and Product Marketing to create compelling go-to-market strategies that highlight the benefits of Generative AI within our platform and enable NNACV opportunities.
  • Ensure effective customer adoption of new Generative AI features by collaborating with Developer Portal, documentation, Developer advocate, professional services, customer outcomes, and other enablement channels.
  • Champion a culture of innovation within the product team, encouraging the exploration of new ideas and approaches to problem-solving.


Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise software product management, with a strong emphasis on developer platforms and generative AI technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering AI-focused product features from conception to release, measured by adoption and revenue.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex AI concepts in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Experience influencing VP-level executives and building alignment on the toughest company-wide strategic prioritizations.
  • An agile mindset and experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver working products on an iterative cadence.
  • Experience in gathering both qualitative and quantitative feedback to inform prioritization and development, specifically from external customers and end users.
  • A degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, engineering, or technical field is required. Exceptions only to be made for equivalent working experience, not certificates or classes.
  • Prior development experience with the ServiceNow platform is highly recommended.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior-level product managers on the team to help grow the rest of the org.

For positions in California (outside of the Bay Area), we offer a base pay of $163,000 - $285,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location. For individuals who will be working in the Bay Area, there is a pay enhancement for positions located in that geographical area; please contact your recruiter for additional information.
