Job Description
Zscaler is looking for an individual to support and manage event experiences (strategy, consultation, project management and execution) GTM programs. This may include Bootcamps, Leadership Events, SKO, President’s Club and various regional trainings. This person will mobilize experts & team members to build and execute high quality experiences, considered “best in class” in the technology space. They will share in the Global GTM Events Team mission to accelerate productive capacity by driving focused action through experiences.
This individual will work with various stakeholders to align on objectives for each program. They will provide strategic consultation to drive toward the most effective experience, and will build a plan for flawless execution. This person will play an active role in ensuring all elements of the experience are properly aligned to support the objectives of the program, driving toward predefined success criteria. They will commit to the effort of coordinating all event/program details (big buckets / owners / deadlines, etc.), leverage experts where appropriate, and ensure all teams / owners meet required milestones and deadlines.
The ideal candidate has a background with in-person events, GTM enablement, proving to understand best practices and how to deliver quality experiences.
This individual will focus time and efforts on the following:
- Obtain vision, feel, objectives, and success criteria
- Define specs (dates, location, # of attendees, space needs, F&B, AV, evening activities)
- Clearly define roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders and relevant parties
- Prepare tools and templates (budget, Asana, etc) and run kickoff calls
- Manage communication cadence with project manager/core team
- Confirm travel needs (visas, passports, covid requirements, etc)
- Work with travel/finance/legal team to finalize contract(s)
- Build F&B and AV orders to meet the needs of the program
- Stay on top of event planning best practices and advise on the same
- Ability to work with various event stakeholders (leaders, salespeople, REV parties)
- Review all contracts
- Communicate with program manager on projected headcount vs actual attendee registration (for attrition rates, staying with budget, proper swag/printed materials, etc. count, etc.)
- Track and report on success metrics
- Coordinate all details pertaining to executing an effective event, including, but not limited to the following:
- Source venues
- Complete site tours and onsite pre planning events
- Coordinate nightly events, activities, travel, hotel rooming lists, charity events…etc
- Manage registration, website build, mobile app build
- Coordinate gifting (speakers, participants…etc)
- Create and execute comprehensive communications plan
- Build and execute the program run of show
- Coordinate with video production and visual design for any creative media requirements
- Build surveys and synthesize survey data
- Conduct post mortem review sessions to gather feedback
- Budget management and reconciliation
This individual will contribute to driving the following success metrics aligned to each program:
- SKO: NPS Score, Engagement Score, NQ NBMs, Pipe Created, VO Conversion, Deal Size, Deal Velocity
- Bootcamp 1: Ramp Time, Time to First Deal, Average Tenure Without Quota
- Bootcamp 2: Pipe Converted, Win Rate, Average Deal Velocity
- Leadership EDGE Program: Time to Hire, Time to Fill, Churn, Pipe Converted, Win Rate
Qualifications
- 3+ years of event management experience
- Familiarity with corporate sales events
- Eagerness to learn
- Proven track record of project managing cross-functional, high-visibility projects
- Demonstrates strong technical aptitude
- Excellent people skills at the executive level, effectively mobilized stakeholders
- Familiar with best practices for engaging experiences and always looking for opportunities to improve
- Innovative, creative and organized
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Go-getter mentality, takes complete ownership, dives in without hesitation
Additional Information
The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 to $120,000 + equity + benefits.
Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
