We're transforming Atlassian and data is at the heart of that. Core Data platform is responsible for low latency, cost efficient compliant cloud storage and data processing capabilities at scale for services that power our products. Think of Data Abstraction, Streaming, Transformation, Replication, Governance and GraphAPIs.
We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a set of teams in our growing Core Data Platform organization. Your teams will be responsible for advancing our mission through a set of scalable, reliable Platform capabilities. You'll also use your analytical skills to make sure we're solving the right problems, partnering with technical, design and product leaders to influence the direction and plan the steps to get there. You'll responsible for team health, recruiting, coaching and promoting talent.
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience developing large scale distributed systems.
- 5+ years of experience managing software development teams driving large projects with complex dependencies and multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of cross-group/cross-discipline collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members.
- Quick learner who thrives in an ambiguous environment.
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark
At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $187,500 - $287,500
Zone B: $168,700 - $258,800
Zone C: $155,600 - $238,700
Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.
