The Opportunity
The Senior Data Scientist NLP and GenAI role involves designing and implementing NLP algorithms, small and/or large language models to understand, interpret, and analyze natural language. This person will preprocess and clean textual data, select relevant features, and train models to perform tasks such as sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, topic modeling, information generation, and language model fine-tuning. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to address specific business challenges and contribute to decision making processes. The Senior Data Scientist NLP and GenAI should stay informed about the latest advancements in NLP research and apply innovative techniques to enhance the performance of language models. Additionally, ensuring the ethical use of NLP technologies, addressing biases, and promoting transparency in model outputs are integral aspects of their responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced analytics, machine learning, and research project teams.
  • Pilot new approaches to optimize existing business processes.
  • Build or manage more complex advanced level statistical and machine learning models.
  • Work independently with executives and project stakeholders to gain business understanding, define analytics opportunities, and present project insights.
  • Work on tasks across the data science lifecycle by leading large and complex interdepartmental project teams.


Required Qualifications

  • Experience working on natural language processing.
  • Advanced knowledge of machine learning & feature engineering techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of evolving technologies for development, implementation, and deployment.


Additional Skills

  • Suggested 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • BS/MS in computer science, math, statistics, operations research, social sciences, or related quantitative field preferred.
  • Advanced leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Generative AI and experience on large language models.
  • Advanced knowledge of firm products and insurance industry.
  • Problem solver: Remove barriers for the team so they can focus on their tasks at hand.
  • Agile learner


The wage range for applicants for this position is $110,00 to $140,00. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
