The role

This role requires the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish. As a Senior Compensation Partner, you will be responsible for providing Compensation consulting support to the Galileo business within SoFi Technologies, an organization with significant employee populations in LATAM and the US. You will work directly with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Management to attract, retain, and motivate exceptional talent by delivering competitive and compelling compensation that aligns with SoFi’s compensation strategy and guiding principles.

The successful candidate will proactively partner with cross-functional stakeholders and senior business leaders to identify and address compensation issues, and promote SoFi’s Total Compensation philosophy and strategy to managers and employees. This position serves as a strategic liaison, representing the business perspective to shape and influence corporate compensation programs, while also effectively communicating corporate compensation strategies and decisions to the business. The role ensures alignment and mutual understanding between corporate compensation objectives and business unit needs. 

What you’ll do:

  • Consulting: Effectively partner with People Team and Business stakeholders to manage, consult, and resolve compensation issues. In alignment with SoFi’s compensation strategy and guiding principles, advise stakeholders and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including base pay, bonus, long-term incentives, rewards planning, promotions, and new hire offers. 
  • Analysis & Data Modeling: Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation practices and model potential impact of alternatives. Effectively distill and present analysis to partners and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner to enable informed decision-making.
  • Education & Communication: Create and deliver clear and impactful communication materials that enhance understanding and highlight the value of our compensation programs. Take an active role in educating cross-functional partners, business leadership, and employees to enable informed decision-making and facilitate meaningful compensation conversations.
  • Project Management: Lead compensation projects of significant impact that span multiple organizations on an as needed basis. Specifically, lead successful outcomes for country-level regulations and requirements.. 

What You'll Need:

  • Fluent or native language skills in English and Spanish
  • University Degree (advanced degree a plus) in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 8 years (6 years with advanced degree) of experience in broad-based compensation design, administration, and business partnership, with experience in Latin America.
  • Highly analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for planning, doing and auditing work.
  • Highly detailed driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture.
  • The ability to work independently, take on responsibility, and be highly responsive to stakeholders.
  • Strong consultation skills and the ability to seek out information and provide quality advice.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal presentations that demonstrate business acumen.
  • Experience administering compensation in the US, Canada, and multiple Latin America countries.

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
