About the Role
We are seeking a Sr. Associate, Corporate Strategy, who will be instrumental in shaping our strategic decisions particularly around our Connected Stores and Supply Chain horizons. This role calls for a mix of analytical prowess and creative thinking, tasked with the responsibility to steer our strategy development through market landscape analyses, opportunity assessments, and strategic planning.

The Corporate Strategy team at Instacart is central to our mission to lean into complexity and uncover opportunities that advance our strategic priorities. As part of this team, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, providing insightful analyses and recommendations that propel critical initiatives forward.
About The Job
- Conduct deep-dive analysis into the grocery industry and adjacent verticals, identifying B2C and B2B growth opportunities
- Develop market landscape assessments that inform our strategic decisions and help us understand our competitive positioning.
- Engage in opportunity analysis to pinpoint new areas for innovation and expansion, ensuring alignment with our long-term corporate strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Commercial, and Finance to ensure strategies are coherent across the board and grounded in operational reality.
- Take part in the orchestration of strategic planning sessions, aiding in the preparation and follow-through of these critical discussions.
- Assist in the formulation of actionable strategies that drive clarity and offer quantifiable benefits, directly impacting company performance and direction.
About You
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or a related field with a proven track record in strategic analysis and/or corporate planning.
- Strong analytical skills and adept at market analysis, competitive intelligence, and strategic forecasting.
- Proficient in using data to make informed decisions and experienced in presenting complex strategies to senior stakeholders.
- Proficient in SQL; familiarity with BI tools
- Strategic-thinker who is capable of seeing the bigger picture and translating complex ideas into actionable strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail or e-commerce, with a preferred focus on B2B or in-store technology.
- Your proactive nature drives you to take initiative and operate independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the organization.
- You are known for your problem-solving skills, capable of navigating complex challenges in innovative ways.
