The Semi MFG Technician 2 operates epi reactors and characterization equipment, performs maintenance, manages multiple tools, and ensures quality control in semiconductor fabrication.
Job Family Description
Direct Production (DP) covers the overall manufacturing operations of Nokia. Contains the direction and monitoring of business' operational processes concerning production, man and machinery performance, and maintenance, as well as related cost controls, quality, and packaging tasks.
- Position requires the operation of epi reactors, characterization equipment, many software interfaces, and completing corrective actions based on SPC monitoring processes.
- Communicating events and responses within a relatively small and tightly coordinated group.
- Position requires ability to helium leak check of epi reactors.
- Position requires operation of multiple tools at once; position requires good multi-tasking.
- Performing maintenance and troubleshooting according to the specification.
Responsibilities
- Experience and familiarity with compound semiconductor epitaxy equipment, processes, and characterization tools (including photoluminescence and x-ray diffraction) is highly desirable, but not necessary depending on the candidate's other qualifications.
- Loading and unloading of wafers into semiconductor process and test equipment.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in semiconductor fabrication and/or epitaxy process facilities.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with software-based tools and manufacturing databases is highly desirable.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with appropriate gowning and follow strict cleanliness protocols.
- Schedule: Must be available to work night shifts (6 PM to 6 AM) every other Thursday, and every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
