The role

The Production Manager (Sales Manager) is responsible for managing a team of Mortgage Loan Originators, including training, motivating, and performance managing team members to drive a highly successful team structure, while also ensuring every member interaction becomes an exceptional interaction with SoFi. You will lead a team of 10 – 12 Mortgage professionals, with responsibility for facilitating the closing of loans at or ahead of the target while delivering an outstanding member experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Independently manage teams of 10 – 15 mortgage associates
  • Manages pipeline and meets minimum monthly personal production for the team
  • Train, motivate, monitor, and coach new associates
  • Serve as a second-tier for escalations
  • Handle special member circumstances and problems as they arise
  • Ensure team is following procedures, as well as regulatory compliance
  • Provide exceptional member experience
  • Performance manage team members through scorecard metrics
  • Manage daily reports to ensure team member performance
  • Proactively identify, escalate issues and propose recommended solutions
  • regarding potential issues with contributing to operational success
  • Drive excellence in every member interaction
  • Monitors the day-to-day activities of functional areas to ensure compliance to          internal policies
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum Bachelors or Associate Degree or significant experience in the industry
  • Mortgage Sales Management experience or its equivalent
  • 3 + years’ experience in sales management
  • 3 + years general customer service experience
  • Centralized sales experience or processing center management experience
  • Experience training, motivating, monitoring, and coaching sales teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to answer questions and communicate issues clearly and concisely to associates, members, and upper management
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Professional demeanor and excellent work habits are essential
  • Mortgage, consumer credit, or consumer lending experience
  • Ability to motivate the sales team to exceed performance expectations
  • Carries multiple state NMLS licenses
  • Demonstrated success motivating and leading a team of sales professionals to meet or exceed rigorous sales targets
  • Passionate about the member experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work well with technology and the desire to help design workflows and processes to enhance our sales strategy and volumes
  • Assist with and support infrastructure needed to support growing a sales team
  • Ability to react to change quickly and implement new processes and procedures

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
