Eaton’s North America Sales division is currently seeking a Regional Service Sales Director - Southeast. This position is remote to individuals that lives within Charlotte, NC, Deerfield Beach, FL, Greenville, SC, Columbia, SC, Morrisville, NC, Nashville, TN, Cleveland, TN, Louisville, KY, Orlando, FL, Smyrna, GA, Pelham, AL or 100 miles from a major airport in the Southeast Region. 

What you’ll do:

Position Overview:
The role will direct and manage the activities of the Southeast region toward achieving order, sales, profit and growth goals while continually improving quality and customer service  levels within the group. The Regional Director is responsible for the strategic management of regional sales resources to achieve sales/orders, , price, product mix, utilization and financial metrics established by the services division and sales leadership. They are responsible for defining, leading and managing comprehensive sales initiatives & programs affecting the organization and its key stakeholders (customers, distributors, partners, employees and trade and business media). One must develop an annual strategic plan and annual budget and drive collaboration/sharing/teaming across the Eaton Services 
In this function you will:
•    Act as sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top line order and sales objectives are met; this role is responsible for providing strategy to identify and develop prospective new customers, keep current on trends and significant issues providing direction for the strategic planning process, ensure the region maintains effective relationships with and service to all customers across all vertical markets; one must work effectively with customer and channel partners within the region while maintaining relationships with the key decision makers
•    Review monthly forecasts and opportunity pipeline with accuracy to ensure the region meets these numbers on a monthly basis; oversee efficient execution/ability to execute to sales quotes, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, managing receivables (works with credit department, resolves terms & condition issues with the contracts department, work with collections) and turn of backlog and projects.
•    Ensure an effective and skilled staff through recruiting, assessment of talent (find gaps and follow action plans to fill gaps), training & development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies and standards; provide leadership and direction to ensure professional growth for employees and retention within the region
•    Maintain budgetary responsibility for the territory; manages sales teams throughout assigned region to ensure the effective allocation of company resources and assets
•    Advise senior management of customer and competitive developments that impact sales growth and profitability and recommends strategies and decision options to counteract market pressures
•    Work closely with product divisions and across all sales verticals to implement strategies focused on the geographic, customer, industry, and market needs.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
•    Minimum of eight (8) years of sales of commercial management experience within the electrical, mechanical or services industry
•    Minimum of two (2) years of experience in management positions
•    Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
•    Ability to travel 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:
•    MBA
•    Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited institution
•    Prior P&L experience
•    In-depth knowledge of the data center sales process including products, application and complex channels of distribution
•    Experience in an indirect sales model with manufacturer reps and distribution

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive.  This position has a target total compensation range of $187,500 - $275,000

 

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
