We are hiring a Field Operations Manager to oversee the deployment and performance of field teams supporting defense and national security programs across multiple operational territories. This role is responsible for ensuring that mission resources, personnel, and equipment are prepared, coordinated, and deployed effectively in field environments.
The ideal candidate will bring strong operational leadership, a background in defense or government program support, and the ability to manage complex logistical and personnel challenges in dynamic, fast-moving environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate field operations teams across multiple sites, ensuring personnel readiness and mission execution meet program requirements
• Develop and maintain field deployment plans, schedules, and resource allocation frameworks
• Serve as the primary point of coordination between field teams and HQ operations, intelligence, and logistics stakeholders
• Monitor field team performance against mission objectives and operational KPIs, escalating issues and implementing corrective actions
• Ensure all field operations comply with defense operational protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct after-action reviews and implement lessons learned to continuously improve field operations effectiveness
• Manage field team logistics including equipment readiness, transportation, and supply chain coordination
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Military Studies, or a related field
• 5+ years of field operations management experience, including experience supporting defense, government, or mission-critical programs
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and operations in complex, multi-site or deployment-based environments
• Strong operational planning, risk management, and situational awareness skills
• Willingness to travel up to 40% to support field deployments and site visits
Preferred Qualifications
• Military service or experience supporting DoD or federal government programs
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification
• Active or previous U.S. government security clearance
