Summary:
The Product Manager is a key player responsible for the planning and execution of the product strategy, working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, customer success and operations to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager maximizes value and creates clear roadmaps that advance the business strategy and must:
• Be transparent about your prioritization and roadmap process • Be able to say "no," but explain why in terms that stakeholders understand • Be a ruthless 'prioritizer' while balancing the needs of customers and stakeholders • Bring evidence-based decision-making to your communication
Responsibilities:
• Understand and represent market requirements with ability to turn them into actionable and high-value client deliverables • Conceptualize new ideas, research and evaluate them objectively from a financial and market perspective • Be the voice of the customer through in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis, market research, and competitive analysis • Collaborate with engineering to deliver innovative and viable solutions to customer problems • Serve as product expert and evangelist, understand user workflow; and conduct product demonstrations to clients and internal audiences • Contribute to overall business planning activities • Define and maintain your product vision and roadmap • Maintain and prioritize your product delivery backlog • Define, measure & report on success metrics associated with in-flight product initiatives • Ensure business telemetry and metrics are defined and built into every engineering deliverable • Build a shared understanding of the problem we are trying to solve for our customers with our engineering teams • Build a shared understanding of the value proposition for new products, features, and enhancements with our Marketing, Sales, and Professional Services teams • Validate & test new product initiatives with internal & external stakeholders for value, demand, usability, and feasibility • Conduct competitor analysis to maintain an up-to-date view of our solutions to compete in the marketplace • Create and facilitate execution of product launch/nurture activities with the marketing team • Participate in Agile ceremonies to provide the voice of the customer • Participate in and represent customer voice in broader planning activities • Conduct backlog grooming & prioritization with your engineering squad • Conduct product discovery programs with our customers to validate and test new products and features
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business or technology • 5+ years of proven experience in B2B SaaS Product Management • Commitment to quality, strong attention to detail and respect for timelines & deadlines • Excellent written, verbal, web, and face-to-face communication skills • Strong organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple competing initiatives • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies, ceremonies, and software practices
