As a Principal Sales Systems Engineer at Nokia, you will be an essential part of our U.S. Sales Team, acting as the technical expert who collaborates closely with Account Managers to deliver innovative optical solutions tailored to customer needs. Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical sales process as a vital resource, working alongside the Account Team to deliver customized optical solutions.
  • Develop and present engaging technical demonstrations of Nokia's optical product portfolio to clients.
  • Analyze customer requirements to create tailored solutions focused on reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare accurate network designs and quotations, ensuring seamless client onboarding and after-sales support.
  • Participate in industry events and trade shows to promote Nokia's innovations and strengthen market presence.
  • Quickly respond to RFI/RFP requests, addressing both functional and technical needs efficiently.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment and satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Mentor and train sales team members on technical concepts and sales strategies, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
     
Qualifications

  You have:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or a similar role with Optical Transport systems.
  • Strong knowledge of fiber optic transport technologies (DWDM, ROADM, FOADM, Optical Amplification, etc.).
  • Experience with Transport system design and operational requirements (Space, Power, Cooling, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Network Management Systems (Nokia WaveSuite, Transcend NMS, etc.).

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience with Transport Network Planning Tools (WaveSuite Planner, Transcend Network Planning System).
  • Background in Network Analysis, Optimization, and Cost Modeling.
  • Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
