What is this role about?
The Dell PC Technician is responsible for providing hands-on desktop and endpoint support for Dell laptops and desktops, including setup, imaging, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management. The role focuses on supporting end users, resolving hardware and software issues, managing tickets, and ensuring reliable device operations in a structured IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and support Dell desktops and laptops (Windows 10/11).
  • Perform device imaging, provisioning, and deployment, including onboarding and offboarding support.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, printer, and connectivity issues.
  • Provide end-user technical support both onsite and via remote tools.
  • Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests using ServiceNow.
  • Support asset management, inventory tracking, and device lifecycle processes.
  • Assist with Microsoft Autopilot enrollment and device provisioning workflows (foundational level).
  • Follow ITIL-based incident management practices, including escalation when required.
  • Maintain clear documentation of issues, resolutions, and procedures.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Windows desktop support and endpoint troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Dell PC hardware, peripherals, and printers.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory, user account support, and access management.
  • Networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/Wi-Fi).
  • Experience with asset management and inventory tracking.
  • Strong communication skills and a process-driven support approach.
  • Ability to work in onsite, desktop, and user-facing IT environments.
