The Role

At CodeSignal, we are on a mission to discover and develop the skills that will shape the future. Our skills assessments and AI-powered learning tools empower high-performing teams to go beyond skill gaps and help individuals cultivate the skills they need to level up. We are expanding our product offerings and looking for a Mobile Engineer to lead the development of our first mobile application! This is a unique opportunity to build a product from the ground up that will elevate how candidates and companies interact with CodeSignal on mobile devices.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and launch CodeSignal's first mobile application from scratch, working closely with Product and Design teams to define user needs and deliver an exceptional experience.
  • Design, develop, and maintain a scalable, high-performing mobile app using modern frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the app seamlessly with existing systems.
  • Own the mobile development process end-to-end: architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to expand mobile functionality, improve user engagement, and optimize performance.
  • Follow best practices for mobile security, accessibility, and user data privacy.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • 3+ years of experience in mobile application development (iOS, Android, or cross-platform).
  • Strong knowledge of React Native or similar frameworks for cross-platform development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development of a mobile app from ideation to launch.
  • Solid understanding of mobile design patterns and performance optimizations.
  • Proficiency in working with APIs and familiarity with mobile testing frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Passion for building products that users love and solving complex technical challenges.

Salary Projection

In accordance with local regulations in jurisdictions where CodeSignal may hire, we are projecting an annual total salary in the range of USD $120,000-$250,000. This range is based on San Francisco benchmarks and encompasses all seniority levels eligible for this position. Offer packages often contain additional compensation in the form of commission or performance bonuses, equity, and/or benefits. Offers are awarded on an individual basis and are subject to factors such as, without limitation, a candidate’s level of experience, growth trajectory, and local labor market. Employees' compensation is reviewed and adjusted regularly.
