As a Manager of Solution Consulting in our Financial Services vertical you will step into a world where you won't just oversee operations, but actively engage in high-stakes presales activities that propel us beyond revenue targets. Additionally, you will be partnering with our vertical solution owner to help drive our go-to-market strategy for our investments, banking and insurance solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of Solution Consultants to support the Workiva sales groups to meet their solution needs

  • Partner with our Financial Services solution owner to drive strategic innovation within our FS GTM motions for Presales activities

  • Provide employees with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities to enhance their skills, motivation, and performance

  • Maintain an atmosphere of respect, mutual support, flexibility, continuous learning, and fun

  • Match staff skills and talent to tasks to ensure optimal engagement and performance

  • Ensure effective alignment of resources and skill sets within the assigned sales territory

  • Establish and maintain relationships and effectively communicate with customers, business unit leaders and senior management to raise visibility and ensure collaboration 

  • Develop working knowledge of financial services industries and use cases where the Workiva Platform can have an impact

  • Provide support for all sales activities including needs analysis, discovery, product demonstrations and alignment to customer goals as a player/coach

  • Participate in strategic projects that further the SC organization and ensure successful delivery of proof of concepts and guided trials

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field; an advanced degree may be considered in lieu of professional experience 

  • 5 years solution consulting experience

  • Extensive knowledge of the financial services industry (Investments, Banking, Insurance)  in relation to operations, planning, reporting, budgeting or compliance.

  • 2 years of direct people management experience, including supervisory experience of supervisor and/or individual contributors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and web security

  • Ability to discuss technical terminology and best practices for SaaS applications

  • Ability to identify and resolve development, marketing, or sales obstacles through strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Ability to understand, empathize, and propose solutions to customers' business challenges, and mentor the team members on doing the same

  • Ability to speak to multiple customer facing audiences from individual contributors to executive management with confidence and a tailored message

Travel Requirements and Working Conditions 

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for team and corporate meetings, fostering relationships and representing company interests  

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, as we embrace flexible work arrangements

How You’ll Be Rewarded

✅ Salary range in the US: $106,000.00 - $172,000.00

✅ Eligible for commission based on sales performance

✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire

✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
