Why join Sprout’s Marketing team?

As a member of Sprout’s Marketing department, you’re an integral part of empowering and inspiring our customers and driving the growth of our business. As a true partner to Sales and Success, we are accountable to—and responsible for—driving significant revenue across new business acquisition and customer growth. We put our customers at the center, we’re driven by results and we’re passionate about our impact on the overall strength and health of Sprout. As individuals, there’s no shortage of opportunities to learn and grow in your current role and beyond. At Sprout, we want you to do your best work, be creative, take risks and make mistakes.

What you’ll do

  • Create and optimize customer lifecycle programs, identifying key milestones and touchpoints to drive increased product adoption and retention.
  • Assist in enhancing customer and audience segmentation strategy, unlocking Sprout’s ability to target relevant communications to specific customer types and continually refining the strategy over time.
  • Oversee project planning for lifecycle programs, setting clear timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations to ensure smooth execution across multiple teams.
  • Analyze program performance and customer engagement, sharing insights with stakeholders, and making data-driven adjustments to optimize performance.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders, including teams in Customer Experience, Customer Education, Marketing Operations, Brand Creative, and Product Marketing.
  • Leverage a variety of channels—including email, webinars, in-product messaging, Sprout’s community, and more—to reach customers and achieve program goals.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for a passionate and creative marketer who can develop and launch marketing programs that earn Sprout customers for life. If you thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment and have a customer-first mindset, you might be a fit for this role.

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • 4+ years of relevant marketing experience, including at least 2+ years in Lifecycle Marketing, Customer Marketing, Email Marketing, Digital Experience, or Marketing Program Management roles
  • 2+ years of experience developing and executing cross-functional marketing programs or projects from start to finish
  • 2+ years of experience with standalone and evergreen email marketing campaigns

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience in creating or supporting B2B customer lifecycle programs
  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Marketo, Pendo, and Gainsight
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and marketing analytics

How you’ll grow

Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, as you:

  • Participate in Sprout’s new hire onboarding program, including an introduction to our product and an overview of the company’s vision, strategy, and values.
  • Collaborate with your manager to set initial priorities and understand the expectations for your role.
  • Get to know your team members and understand how our customer communications and lifecycle strategy align with the marketing organization’s goals.
  • Learn about our marketing strategy, OKRs, and personas.
  • Start participating in weekly stand-ups, team meetings and marketing rituals.

Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride as you:

  • Develop an understanding of Sprout’s customers and communications channels, recognizing current practices and identifying areas for growth.
  • Shadow cross-functional teams to develop deep understanding of every stage of the Sprout customer journey.
  • Gain familiarity with Sprout’s brand guidelines to effectively create customer communications and lifecycle programs.
  • Contribute to the creation of in-flight and upcoming customer communications and lifecycle programs, sharing ideas and feedback.
  • Report on lifecycle programs and review historical data.
  • Build relationships with key teams including Customer Experience, Customer Education, Marketing Operations, Brand Creative, and Product Marketing.

Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact as you:

  • Lead the execution of new lifecycle programs, working closely with Customer Experience, Marketing Operations, and other teams.
  • Present program reporting and insight to stakeholders, including suggestions for improving lifecycle efforts.
  • Identify areas for improving program ideation and planning, and provide constructive feedback to improve team collaboration.

Within 12 months, you’ll have established yourself in the role, as you:

  • Test, fail, learn, and apply new tactics and operational processes to grow your impact.
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual planning discussions, providing input on how lifecycle programs can align with broader marketing goals.
  • Communicate the results and impact of customer lifecycle initiatives, and suggest strategies for continued growth.

Note: The outlined timeline above represents an ideal scenario. Flexibility may be required based on business needs and additional projects as determined by your manager.

The listed ranges represent the full earning potential in this position. Starting salaries for well-qualified new hires are typically around the midpoint of the range. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent, and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.

Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan.
