Our formula for success is to hire exceptional people, encourage their ideas and reward their results.

As a participant in our 12-month rotation program, referred to internally as our Leadership Rotation Network (LRN), you’ll begin your journey with our immersive onboarding experience. This will reinforce your knowledge of market fundamentals, equipping you for the dynamic rotations that follow. Additionally, it offers an invaluable opportunity to build strong relationships with your fellow cohort members and integrate into the wider LRN community.

Following onboarding, you will rotate through up to three targeted middle and/or back-office teams, such as Global Trading Operations, Treasury, Product Control, Credit, Risk, Project Management, Business Management and Finance. Upon successful program completion, you will earn a post-LRN role on one of the participating middle and/or back-office teams with the aim of alignment between both your career aspirations and DRW’s business needs.

How we expect our LRNers to make an impact:

  • Apply your acquired knowledge and skills to deliver tangible value through rotations in various middle and back-office teams
  • Lead projects and participate in daily processes, gaining insight into each team’s scope and their collective role in supporting our trading business
  • Analyze situations, develop solutions aligned with our strategic goals and respond constructively to feedback
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business and gain a “behind the scenes” look at how our trading functions work together cohesively
  • Effectively collaborate within diverse teams and build lasting relationships with cohort members and the LRN community

You'll be right at home if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field, with a graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026
  • Basic proficiency in Python and/or SQL, which might include:
    • Python: Experience with pandas, handling CSV/JSON files, API interaction (requests), and writing scripts/classes. Knowledge of conda/virtualenv, GitHub, and matplotlib/seaborn is a plus.
    • SQL: Ability to write intermediate queries (JOINs, CTEs, PIVOT) for data transformation. Familiarity with integrating SQL in analytics/reporting tools is a plus.
  • Intermediate Excel: Skilled in functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and macros/VBA
  • An insatiable desire to learn, unwavering commitment to integrity, and proven ability to deliver both individually and as part of a team
  • A curious mindset, excellent organizational and analytical thinking, a passion for process improvement and a strong sense of urgency
  • A self-starter attitude, capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining a high-quality work product
  • Excellent communication skills and a capacity for rapid learning
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, along with a sharp attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently while fostering strong working relationships across various business groups
  • Work authorization in the United States without the need for sponsorship

Ideal candidates will also possess:

  • An interest in trading and technology, with a specific aspiration to work in a middle/back-office role
  • A desire to live and work in Chicago, IL or Houston, TX (this opportunity requires physical presence and is not offered remotely)
  • A solid understanding of financial securities and their markets
  • Prior experience in middle/back-office roles and operations

If you excel in performance-driven environments and thrive on challenges, we encourage you to apply!
