What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is currently seeking a Lead Field Service Electronics Technician to join our team of world-class customer service professionals. This position is based in the greater Charlotte, NC area. 

This is a remote position based from a home office with daily travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays. Company vehicle provided.

Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions Division delivers the confidence of uninterrupted power when it matters most. We design and manufacture advanced UPS systems, batteries, and power distribution solutions that keep businesses running in the most demanding environments. As a Field Service Electronics Technician you will provide on-site support, offering emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance and reliability. From mission-critical facilities to complex energy management challenges, we partner with customers as trusted advisors, delivering innovative solutions and technical expertise that safeguard operations and maximize uptime.


Anticipated salary: $69,000 - $101,000 a year. Overtime eligible.

Qualifications:

This role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience:
•    
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
•    Two (2) years of power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics experience including relevant coursework and internship experience.
•    This role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton’s Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire.
•    Must undergo and pass customer entrance requirements as needed, which may include, but is not limited to, periodic background checks and drug screenings.
•    Daily travel to customer sites is required, utilizing an Eaton-provided fleet vehicle.
•    Provide support for customer needs outside the immediate region within the USA for a minimum of three (3) weeks per quarter.
•    Must perform physical tasks as needed, including assisted lifting/carrying 50+ lbs., pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, and driving long distances.


You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:
•    Associate’s degree in electrical or electronics from an accredited institution, current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree engineering program at an accredited institution or applicable military training and experience.
•    Three (3)+ years experience working with power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics.
•    Electrical Technology Certificate.
•    Ability to read electrical component schematic drawings and apply troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques.
•    Strong understanding of electrical theory, battery systems, and single- and three-phase circuits.
•    Strictly follow company/customer safety rules for a secure work environment.
•    Collaborate with Field Service Technicians, taking direction from on-site leads.

•    Reside outside the greater Charlotte, NC area. Active-duty military applicants are exempt from this location requirement.
