Now Brewing – Systems Analysts! #tobeapartner
From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
As a Systems Analyst, you’ll support and deliver technology and process solutions that build key business capabilities and drive operational improvements. You’ll partner with business and technology teams to gather requirements, design solutions, configure and test systems, and provide global production support for critical applications.
As a Systems Analyst, you will…
- Shape solutions end-to-end by gathering and documenting requirements, supporting user story creation and backlog grooming, and contributing to business process design and user-centric solution design.
- Configure, test, and validate by supporting application configuration (attributes, workflows, UI changes), assisting with data conversion (extract/load/validation), and executing tests while validating results using queries as needed.
- Keep critical systems running by providing 24x7 support, working trouble tickets to SLA, conducting root cause analysis, coordinating issue resolution across teams (and vendors when needed), and maintaining clear documentation and knowledge articles.
We’d love to hear from people with:
- Relevant experience in systems analysis (typically 0–2+ years for early-career candidates or 4+ years for experienced candidates; level aligned to experience)
- Understanding of systems development concepts and lifecycle/IT operations, including requirements analysis and solution design
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines while partnering effectively with business and technical teams
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, including user story creation and backlog grooming
- Experience applying Lean/process improvement techniques to improve operations
- Hands-on experience with application configuration (workflows, attributes, UI changes) and data conversion (extract/load/validation)
- Experience developing or supporting test plans, test environments, and test execution/validation
- Proficiency using query tools for data validation, ad-hoc analysis, and operational reporting
- Experience creating system documentation (wikis/knowledge base articles) and supporting end-user training
- Experience coordinating issue resolution cross-functionally (and with vendors as needed)
