We’re Changing the Rentals Industry

We’re a profitable, growth-stage company building industry-leading martech and data products for the rentals industry. While originally known for building and operating one of the U.S.’s largest rental marketplaces - Rentable, our focus has shifted to our category-leading AI and data SaaS products with triple-digit growth rates.

We’re a fully remote team of 100+ spread across the U.S. from coast to coast. We operate on a strict no a**holes policy and are proud to have built a community of highly performing people that take our work seriously, but not ourselves.

While we’ve raised $30MM+ to date from some of the world’s best investors, we’re profitable with a strong balance sheet and an indefinite runway. We pride ourselves on achieving rapid growth without having to incinerate capital.

If you like the idea of joining an industry-changing company made up of people who genuinely like each other, Rentable could be a great fit for you.

The Role

As the Head of Product Design, you will set the bar for UX vision and deliver exceptional user experiences and data visualizations to create customer value and drive business outcomes. This role will be charged with laying the foundation for a strong design system, building empathy with a rapidly growing user base, and creating strong relationships and operating practices with cross-functional teams to ship user-centered products. Our ideal candidate will have a track record of imparting an analytical mindset to simplify complex UX problems and developing easy to use experiences that were central to impacting the growth of a business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the overall experience design vision aligned with company goals, target audiences, and the product roadmap for ApartmentIQ.
  • Own the design system, along with a plan for evolutionary implementation to bring the vision to reality over time.
  • Work with teams across product, design, and engineering to prioritize and spec out new features to build.
  • Work directly with engineering to ensure a feature gets built, balancing your vision, technical feasibility, and user value.
  • Design new features all the way from concept to finalized pixels.
  • Conduct user research to gain deep insights into user behavior, needs, and pain points. Utilize findings to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate on designs to enhance user satisfaction.
  • Though we are a remote workplace, our teams do travel to meet up several times per year in addition to our annual all-company retreat, Rentapalooza.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of UX product design with a portfolio showcasing the impact of your work on the business.
  • Experience working on a small design team and "doing it all".
  • Have done in depth work on both UX and UI.
  • Clear communicator and enjoy working closely with partners across teams, particularly in engineering.
  • Invested in your craft and have experience with data visualization and interaction design.
  • Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior designers.

Why Choose Us:

  • 100% Remote Workplace
  • Competitive Compensation Package
  • Flexible Time Off
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 100% Paid Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance Program
  • 401k Program
  • No A**hole Policy
