This is a full-time hybrid (3 days a week on-site) at any of our UL Offices.

  • Reviews WERCSmart® submissions for accurate and timely delivery of regulatory data to retailers.
  • Provides regulatory knowledge and expertise to clients as needed for compliance with US and Canadian retail regulatory requirements.
  • Utilizes knowledge of regulatory requirements to improve WERCs software through automation, rules, and wizards.
  • Collaborates with product development and programming teams to improve and assist with testing of software.
  • Provides feedback on performance of software to management and product development to improve software products.
  • Assists the customer service team by responding to customer inquiries by email, phone, or in-person to support authoring or regulatory service projects.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
  • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) preferably in Science related discipline or 2 years of equivalent 
    experience.
  • Demonstrate effective time management to handle and prioritize multiple projects or streams of work and ensure 
    timely and accurate completion of assigned work.
  • Familiarity with domestic regulatory requirements such as hazard communication requirements, transportation and 
    hazardous waste regulations, and other regulatory topics is preferred. 
  • Minimal business travel and work outside of the office may be required.

    Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $52,000 to $65,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
