Eaton’s GEIS division is currently seeking a FP&A Manager - GEIS. This is a hybrid role for candidates currently based in Syracuse, NY, Moon Township, PA, or Beachwood, OH. Relocation is not provided.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

What you’ll do:

This role provides broad, hands‑on exposure across FP&A, Ops/SCM Finance, Commercial Finance, Finance Transformation, and Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division strategy. The position requires end‑to‑end ownership of core financial processes, direct interaction with senior leadership, collaboration with various functions and global regions, and strong emphasis on financial storytelling, business partnership, and continuous improvement. This individual will own FP&A activities like leading monthly actual reviews of variance analysis & margin bridges, consolidation of GEIS financial forecasts and weekly flash updates, and preparation of key senior leadership presentations to corporate/sector executives. He/she must possess the ability to both provide and present meaningful reports, metrics, and insights to senior management. The position requires advanced aptitude for problem solving, handling ambiguous requests, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of timely financial information primarily for executive level audiences.    


In this role you will:

  • Own GEIS HQ ledger activities, including expense and people cost forecasting, actuals vs. forecast analysis, and budgeting
  • Support annual planning by loading and managing Profit Plan for HQ ledgers along with global GEIS Profit Plan consolidation, summarization, and reporting activities
  • Own monthly Risk & Opportunity processes, ensuring accurate identification and communication of R&Os, including managing global forecast hedge profile
  • Own the Global Pulse Call (GPC) and Closing Flash reporting processes, partnering with regional teams to collect, consolidate, and communicate performance vs prior expectations to senior leadership
  • Support ongoing Finance Transformation to Oracle Planning (R4) as a subject matter expert supporting end users, resolving data issues, and building reports and tools
  • Support and manage loading of the Strategic 5‑Year Plan by assessing current‑state performance and modeling future performance with clearly defined assumptions
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly forecast decks and financial package for senior leadership and corporate reporting
  • Prepare GEIS-level views of performance, including sales & profit bridges, incremental/decremental rate detail analysis, and cash flow
  • Manage global GEIS capitalized manufacturing variance forecast process, understanding and concisely explaining key change variables
  • Forecast accuracy measurement and reporting
  • Develop scalable, regionally consistent reporting tools and executive-ready visuals from complex datasets
  • Partner closely with regional finance and business teams, incorporating feedback to improve tools & report clarity, usability, consistency, and ease of use
    Manage Oracle restructuring database loads and regional & functional restructuring reconciliation activities, including monthly reporting of restructuring costs, savings, and cash flow impact
Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, or Operations finance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of manufacturing accounting & finance principles and concepts in preferably industrial manufacturing environments. 
  • Prior cross-functional experience in operations, finance, supply chain, commercial.
