JOB DESCRIPTION
UL Renewables is seeking a North America Wind Leader to lead energy advisory, due diligence, and asset advisory services. In this role, you will effectively support the day to day activities of the Wind teams, supporting and guiding decisions on projects, project management, and opportunities, within a highly matrixed organization. In addition, this role is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and supporting the commercial team by ensuring workload balance and providing technical support needed to satisfy customers.
This role can be remote in the US or hybrid from Albany, NY.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Wind advisory services including Energy Advisory, Due Diligence, and Asset advisory.
  • Manage internal teams, and methods including studies, templates, proposals, and execution and delivery of complex independent engineering projects for clients and tax equity.
  • Be the face of UL within the North America wind industry, represent UL Solutions at conferences, and industry groups, and develop and nurture client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with the leaders for Solar and Energy Storage, and with regions outside North America.
  • Be responsible for driving process improvements to ensure financial results are achieved.
  • Drive a high-performing team by managing the performance and development of team members. Develop and coach by providing, training, career counseling, feedback, guidance to drive high performance and morale
  • Increase customer loyalty, anticipate customer needs and provide proactive solutions. Gather, share and respond to customer feedback. Coach and mentor employees to do the same.
  • Support Sales by building relationships with customers, requiring a deep understanding of what is in pipeline, obtaining feedback on what is working well and identifies actions and solutions.
  • Lead and/or participate in discussions to drive business initiatives through brainstorming discussions. Empower and hold team accountable to find new opportunities to effectively drive growth & financial goals (revenue, profit, enterprise value).


QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree (equivalent to a Bachelors degree) in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related field plus generally 8 years minimum of directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of US wind project finance landscape and existing relationships with clients and banks.
  • Deep technical expertise in onshore wind.
  • Track record of P&L management.
  • Track record of people management. Ability to manage employee performance using performance expectations and goals and responding to employee relations issues.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of how decisions impact business results, working with a diverse team and planning and thinking strategically.
  • Demonstrate customer collaboration, project management and business acumen skills.
  • People leadership experience and talent development are essential, together with the ability to fulfill client deadlines and represent complex technical issues with clients and project investors.

  • Total Rewards: The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position. All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation. The target for this position is 20% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level. We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
