Overview

About the Role 

Instacart is looking for a Product Director to drive a delightful and low friction online grocery shopping experience. This role involves leading a team of top-tier product managers to drive transformative changes in how customers place orders with Instacart

About the Team - The Core Experience team focuses on building the ultimate online grocery shopping experience. We help users swiftly locate and replenish their staple items and explore new favorites. With us, users can checkout confidently, receive exactly what they wanted, and enjoy consistent support at every step.

About the Job 

  • Strategic Vision Development: Develop and implement a strategic product vision that positions Instacart as the preferred destination for customers' weekly grocery shopping needs.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead a diverse team of product managers, designers, engineers, machine learning experts, and data scientists to deliver innovative solutions and enhance product offerings.
  • Customer-Centric Strategies: Leverage customer insights and market data to formulate product strategies that address user needs and boost customer satisfaction.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, prioritizing conversion rate improvements and customer retention through data-driven decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with executive leadership and other stakeholders to ensure product strategies are aligned with business objectives, driving overall company success.


About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of product management experience, with at least 2-4 years of managing a team of 3+ PMs. 
  • Significant experience leading product teams delivering customer facing products. 
  • Strong communicator with experience pitching and landing 0-1 new products as well as extensively optimizing existing features. 
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive customer obsession, and drive data driven decision making. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Product management experience in the eCommerce field, including with shopping, ads, purchase and/or delivery flows. 
  • Experience with AI and personalization
